Time: 5:30pm arrival, 6:00pm start

Free Entry: Both competitors and spectators must register.

Event Overview

Competition Rules:

Espresso Shots:
A designated person will pull shots for each barista.

Equipment:
Competitors may bring their own jugs for pouring.

Free Pour Only:
No etching tools are allowed.

ADC Milk Types on Wheel:

  • Oat
  • Almond
  • Soy
  • Coconut

Patterns On Wheel:

  • Tulip
  • Heart
  • Swan
  • Free Pour
  • Amy Bear

Competition Format:

  • Knockout Style: Up to 6 rounds, head-to-head.
  • Rounds: Two competitors face off, with the best latte art advancing.
  • Semifinals: A 3rd place playoff will happen between the runners-up.
  • Finals: Determines 1st and 2nd place winners.
  • Wild Card Entry: If competitor numbers are uneven, a previously knocked-out competitor may get another chance.
  • Spin the Wheel: The wheel will randomly select the milk type and latte art pattern for each round.Whether you’re competing or watching, this is a night of latte art skill and creativity you won’t want to miss!

Judging Criteria:

The judging panel consists of three experienced coffee professionals. Judging will be based on the following criteria:

Visual Appeal:

  • Definition and contrast between milk and espresso.
  • Clearly defined lines
  • Ability to achieve the correct pattern

Each judge will place a pin/chip beside the drink they believe is the best, with the drink receiving the most pins/chips advancing to the next round.

This competition is a game of skill, showcasing the artistry and precision of our talented baristas.

Judges’ decisions are final, and there are no appeals or protests permitted.
